Why did you decide to go Greek?
"Coming to college I didn't know anyone so I was really looking for a support group. I had also heard about sororities from people that were older than me and I thought it sounded like something that could really help me grow into leadership roles which was something that I was involved in in high school."

What is your favorite memory in Delta Zeta?
"Living in the DZ house has given me so many memories. Nights where I have thought that I was going to stay in and do nothing have turned into some of the most fun nights that I've had in college. There is always someone around to just 'do something fun' with or be spontaneous. You never know what is going to happen here."

Three things Stephanie loves:
Living for the moment, Caribbean beaches, and Disney Channel

What made you want to join a sorority?
'When I was a freshman, I saw a lot of posters and chalking promoting sorority recruitment, and I didn't know a lot of people except those who lived on my dorm floor, so I decided to check it out. I really admired the women who put on the presentation and who gave up their letters. During philanthropy night, when I was with Delta Zeta, I saw a woman who was a year older than me who went to my high school. I looked up to her so much, and just seeing how happy and comfortable she was with her sisters inspired me to join a sorority.'

What is your favorite Delta Zeta memory?
'My favorite DZ memory is big sis reveal, when I got my big sister and my two littles. I look up to my big so much and she's been such a great mentor and friend to me for the past few years, and my littles are the light of my life. I'm so fortunate and proud that I have these women in my life.'

An interesting fact about Kelsey: 'I studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland in spring 2012, and I traveled to six countries in Europe while I was there.'

What is your favorite Delta Zeta memory?
'One of my favorite memories would have to be recruitment 2013. I wasn't looking forward to disaffiliation, but looking back I'm so glad I was. I met some of the most amazing women and looked outside of my own little turtle shell to realize that not only do I have 125 amazing sisters but I have so many more within the other sororities.'

What made you want to go Greek?
"I never thought I was going to ever go Greek let alone join a sorority. Even as a freshmen here at UW-Whitewater I did not want to go Greek.
In high school I was very social and in a lot of clubs and had a couple of jobs so I was always around people, so I knew I wanted to do something in college but I didn't know what. The summer before my sophomore year my best friend told me that she joined a sorority at her college and that was really when it hit me that I should just go see what it was about.  And when fall recruitment rolled around, I fell in love."

What is your favorite Alpha Sigma or PHC memory?
"How can I really just choose one? It is so hard to pin point which one is my favorite though. I think my most favorite memory though has to be disaffiliation, but not just disaffiliation, but Bid Day during Fall 2013.  Being disaffiliated, because I was PHC secretary, was probably the most bittersweet memory I had and it made me happy and sad at the same time.
On one hand, I was disaffiliated from my sorority, away from my sisters, and away from the one constant that had been in my life for what was going on two years. But on the other, I got to help out behind-the-scenes helping women find the right sorority for them. I got to be closer to the e-board that I was going to share many memories with this upcoming year, and I got to enjoy the time I had with the recruitment counselors from other sororities and learn  more about what they're about. But as soon as Bid Day rolled around, I knew it was time to go home."

An interesting fact about yourself: "I work three jobs to support my way through college and I am a full time student and still loving every second of it."

Three things Megan loves: Music, laughing, and friends

A few quotes Megan lives by:
"To live doesn't mean you're alive."
"One day your life will flash before your eyes, make sure it's worth watching."
"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."
"Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional."

What made you want to go Greek?:
"I always wanted to go Greek for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching Legally Blonde and Greek, so Hollywood played a very big part in my decision.
I have always been involved in clubs and sports growing up, so I knew I wanted to continue that when I would go onto college. I was so set on going Greek that while looking into universities, I crossed colleges off my list if they didn’t have a Greek community. When I arrived at Whitewater, I came with a bunch of guy friends from high school, so that added to my reasons to “Go Greek”; I needed some more women in my life."

What is your favorite Sigma Sigma Sigma/PHC memory?
"This is a hard one. There are way too many! I think my favorite memory would have to be Formal Recruitment in 2012. It combines my love for Sigma and Panhel. This was my first time being disaffiliated; I was a recruitment counselor (and Social/Risk chair). Disaffiliation was full of different emotions. I loved helping PNMs find their home and getting to know other sorority women, but it was also hard being away from my sisters.
I feel like everyone should be disaffiliated because you get to know other sorority women, help PNMs, and realize how much you love your own sorority. You learn to appreciate the relationships you have within your chapter, but also appreciate and learn what makes each sorority unique and special. When being disaffiliated, you gain a lot of perspective."

An interesting fact about yourself: "I have never been to Florida but I have been to England and France."

Three things you love: "Coffee, Pinterest and a good laugh."

A few quotes you live by:
“If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough"
"A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be” – Rosalynn Carter
"Be the person that makes others feel special. Be known for your kindness and sympathy.”
"If you stumble, make it part of the dance.”
